What's the effect of a few less coils in a three-phase motor?

I. the power determines the cross-sectional area of the iron core, the cross-sectional area determines the number of turns per volt, and the current determines the winding diameter.

(1) that is to say, when the power of the motor is determined, the cross-sectional area of the iron core is fixed, and the winding voltage of the motor determines the number of turns per volt, as well as the winding diameter.

(2) the cross-sectional area of the iron core is roughly equal to the square root of the power under 1.2 times the root number, the unit of power is kilowatt, and the unit of cross-sectional area is square centimeter.

(3) the voltage determines the number of turns per volt, for example, two turns per volt. If the winding voltage is 380 volts, 760 turns need to be wound; if the voltage is 220 volts, 440 turns need to be wound.

(4) a simple algorithm is to multiply the voltage by 56 and divide by the cross-sectional area of the iron core, which is the number of turns of the winding.

(5) if the number of turns is different, the current flowing through the motor will be different, and the winding wire diameter will also be different.

II. Effect of less coils

(1) in the process of actual maintenance of motor winding, the number of turns is not very strict, and more turns and less turns will not directly affect the operation of motor.

(2) it will take a lot of effort to wind a few more turns, and it will be easy to wind a few less turns.

(3) of course, when repairing the winding, it's better to remove the number of turns, rewind the number of turns, and do not change the wire diameter at will, so as to keep the original state as much as possible.

(4) from the above calculation, it can be seen that the winding current will increase and the power of the motor will increase with less winding.

(5) if more turns are wound, the winding current will be reduced, and the power of the motor will also be reduced.

(6) however, when the current increases, the flux of the iron core will be over saturated, so that the motor is easy to heat up when it is running.

(7) therefore, when repairing the motor winding, the number of turns and wire diameter should be wound according to the original specifications, so that the motor after maintenance can be in the best working condition.
